20 Photos from November/December 2018

It got so far into December before I got around to doing my month round up post that I just decided to hold out for the end of the year. Thematically it makes sense anyways: the last couple months have been about celebrating the holidays to the max!

Fall is when Italy really shines

We set our Christmas tree up early this year.
We hosted a dozen people for Thanksgiving and I made my first fully from scratch pie (it was butterscotch)

Then we jetted off to chilly Vienna for more Christmas cheer
Stunning and so much fun!
So cold!
Then on to Salzburg, which was dreamy.
We love Christmas trees!
Making new friend on the train
Christmas time in Bologna is also incredibly festive!
My Mom came to visit for the holidays and Marcella was ecstatic
Baking cookies!
Mike and I went on a date and discovered a REAL Chinese hotpot place in Bologna! Hooray.
I finished this cross stitch piece for my mother. It says “Love is Knitting For You.” in Italian
We hosted our dear friends for Christmas dinner- our second year running!
Marcella wasn’t super into opening presents but really liked all the new toys!
After Christmas my Mom and I headed to Rome for a few days, which was so much fun!
Truly, one of the greatest cities in the world.

It’s been a busy couple of months! January will be about recovering and getting back into our routine… at least until we head to Morocco at the end of the month!

Happy Holidays from our family to yours!

I blog professionally at Why Wait To See the World, and unprofessionally right here.
