10 Pictures from June 2019

Ciao! After months of rain and cold, we plunged full force into Italian summer in June. No time for spring this year, we skipped right to 90 degree days, brilliant sunshine and aperitivos where we sip hugos al fresco.

Honestly, it could be worse.

We had a lot of fun this month! We had a plethora of out of town visitors, took a couple weekend trips, and mostly enjoyed soaking up the sun with friends and delicious food. I’m pretty sure this is why we moved to Italy.

My cousins Genny and Jackie came to visit. We discovered a new brewery their first night here.
I finally climbed to the top of the Torre dei Asinelli (the tallest tower are the center of town) and was rewarded with this spectacular view.
Then Kate and Cailin, travel blogger celebrities, visited us. We ate lots of gelato. Marcella loved Kate, despite her expression here.
Our friend Keryn stopped in Bologna for lunch with her family. Marcella had her boys wrapped around her finger.

We escaped to Rimini for a weekend on the Adriatic.

Mike went to Berlin for business, but we escaped to a waterpark in the Appenine foothills south of Bologna with our friends Katie and Makenna,

All in all a pretty good month! Later this week we’re expecting a heatwave, along with the arrival of Mike’s sister Joanna and her family. Let’s hope we can manage to keep cool once the
